Will this actually keep me warm enough?

Which size should I choose?
130 × 150 cm is a throw for a sofa or armchair. 150 × 200 cm covers a single bed with overhang on both sides. 200 × 230 cm covers a double bed generously. These are the maker's sizes, not UK bed labels, so go by the measurements rather than by 'single' or 'double'.
What is a gauze weave?
Cotton woven in an open, crinkled structure with layers held together. The gaps between the threads are what let warm air move through — the same principle behind the muslin cloths used in kitchens and hospitals.
Is it noisy or scratchy?
